The above is our front door, the wreath was a gift from a lovely family my kids went to School with.

My husband made this bird feeder a few yeas ago, its really quite spectacular to see all the different varieties of birds that come to feed. We have had a lot of snow fall this year already, so not too many have been around lately.

Next we enter our family room, where the first of our two trees are. This is where we spend most of our time as a family. Hanging out, watching TV etc. The family room is located right next to the kitchen, which is really convenient for making a quick exit during commercial breaks for snacks. 😉

This year I wanted to go with a rustic theme in this room, I wrapped the tree with some burlap and winter berry garlands. Then added some pine cones and DIY ornaments.

This bowl sits on our coffee table, I filled it with greens from our yard, pine cones and natural elements.

This wreath and deer I have had for years, I still really like them and they lend well to rustic theme I was going for. Don’t mind the weird textured walls behind, I’m not sure who thinks 1/2″ thick textured walls looks good? Some thing we inherited from the previous owners. I thought I would try and disguise it by painting the wall a darker shade of taupe, until we were ready to remove it. Nope! Now it just looks like peanut butter smeared on the walls. Ugh… I will get to  it eventually.

Then moving on to our kitchen, I don’t have a lot of décor in here, just some little wooden apples and votives above the sink.

This cute cloche, usually sits on my island. I couldn’t  get a good shot in the kitchen, I kept getting a weird glare. So I moved for the sake of the picture. Normally its filled with lemons for most of the year. For Christmas I changed it up with some bottle brush trees and faux snow.

Last but not least, is this cardboard house my youngest daughter made last year. Both my kids are very creative and love to make things. I don’t keep every macaroni ornament they have made (I know GASP!) but some things are special and will probably keep this one forever!
